Starting this Friday (August 7th), 12 religious sites in Singapore will be approved to hold religious activities with no more than 100 people.

The Ministry of Culture, Communities and Youth issued a statement saying that under the condition of implementing public health precautions, the limit on the number of people in each religious gathering will be relaxed from 50 to 100.

The religious sites participating in the pilot program are 4 mosques, 2 Hindu temples, 4 Christian churches, a Buddhist temple, and a Sikh temple, including the Guangmingshan Pujie Temple.

These religious places can only accommodate up to 100 people during certain hours. Mosques are only limited to Friday prayer hours; Christian churches, Buddhist temples and Sikh temples are Saturdays and Sundays; Mariamman Hindu temples are only limited to Fridays, Srinivasa The Ma Hindu Temple is only available on Saturdays.
